Azir

An audio redesign of Azir, from Riot’s League of Legends.

This is an audio redesign of Azir’s summon sand soldiers ability, and charge ability. For the sand soldiers I wanted it to feel like they were popping from the ground and rapidly gaining tangibility, such that by the time they fall onto the ground, you can hear the clink of their armor, and feel a weight to them. For the charge, I wanted something simple but also with a sense of weight to its impact, and I think the basic metal clinging sound really works. Finally, I wanted to add a sound for each sand soldier disappearing. Audio cues in games like League of Legends can give valuable information to its players, in this case information about when you’ve lost one of your sand soldiers. However, I made an effort to err on the side of simplicity for the sound to hopefully reduce the amount of audio clutter the additional sound could create.
